RUTHERFORD JOINS ASTORIA HOMES

Tom McCormick, president of Las Vegas-based Astoria Homes, announced today that Andrea N. Rutherford has been appointed to the position of Marketing Coordinator.

In her new position, Rutherford is responsible for coordinating employee and community events, and assisting in the creation and implementation of marketing and advertising plans. In addition, she assists with the coordination of interior decorators, sales office vendors, sign company and miscellaneous vendors in order to ensure smooth, timely and successful openings of Astoria Homes' new communities.

Prior to joining Astoria Homes, Rutherford worked in various capacities at Sunrise Colony Co. in Las Vegas. Most recently she served as a systems specialist, where she supported and maintained the company's sales and design system and posted reports to the company website in addition to facilitating all employee training for the system. She also served as a design coordinator and escrow assistant for the company. While at Sunrise Colony, Rutherford was named Employee of the Month for April 2001.

Rutherford earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from the Univeristy of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas and University of Nevada, Reno.
