Parkside Village Hosts Easter Egg Hunt

Thursday, April 13th was an exciting day for several kindergarteners from Manny Cortez Elementary School, a school comprised of some of the most underprivileged, at risk students in the city. Sixty children were bussed to the park at ASTORIA HOMES' new home community, Parkside Village. This three-acre park was home to an early Easter Egg Hunt for the kindergartners.

ASTORIA HOMES employees and vendors including Baskets and Bows, KKB Cleaning, Powell's Glass Company, JM Painting, Vegas General, Dan Bradley's, Sierra Air, Bronco Construction, Mountain Springs Saloon, Bill Young's Masonry, Jackpot Graphics, Southern Nevada Homes Magazine, Cal Pac Painting, Distinctive Marble, BC Trim, Pacific Stucco, Sammy's Woodfired Pizza, Aspen Mortgage, and Anozira Door donated candy, baskets, eggs, toys, gifts, food and drinks for the children. The Easter Bunny even paid a visit, spending time with everyone and taking pictures with all of the children. After the children left the ASTORIA HOMES employees made a special trip to Manny Cortez Elementary accompanied by the Easter Bunny to deliver an additional 140 baskets to the remaining kindergarteners at the school. Every child was delighted to meet the Easter Bunny and even more excited to receive a fun filled basket.

All of the school children went home with smiles on their faces. The event was an extraordinary success - - thanks to everyone who helped make it happen!
